Sail on the Seadog
Take the Nature Agency's ferry service to Hirsholmene. From 1 January 2012 is Seadog Nature Agency Ferry between Frederikshavn and Hirsholmene. There are still offered many different marine adventure trips from the ports on Læsø and Sæby harbor. Seadog is approved by the Maritime Authority for sailing with a maximum of 12 passengers. Seadog sails year round. Timetables can be found on our website.

Seal Safari
Out of Vesterø, towards Nordre Rønner lies the stoone reef Borfeld. This is home to a seal colony, which you can, with the Seadog, get right up close to. The charming animals lie in full view on the protruding ricks and splash about in the water around the boat. As well as seals there are countless birds and some times you will also see porpoises. If you don´t have your own binoculars with you, you can borrow some on board. The trip departs from Vesterø.
5 Hour Fishing Trip.
This is the chance to catch many fish. The Seadog sails from Østerby harbour, where the fishing for mackerel in particular is good in June, July, August and September. You can also catch cod and weever. Threre is usually plenty of fish for everybody. Using the underwater camera we can see when the fish bite.
Seals and Fish.
On this trip you can kill two birds with one stone. We start with the Seal Safari as described above, and then you will get the chance to go fishing. The chances of catching something are high. The crew will happily help you get into the fishing. Since these trips always take place in the evening, you will also see the beautiful sunset over Kattegat. Using the underwater camera you can see wehn the fish bite. The trip departs from Vesterø.
Seals and Trawling
Like the Seal and Fish trip. After we have seen the seals, we instead inspect the Seadog´s pots, and get abn idea of what lives at the bottom af the Kattegat. Edible crabs, black lobsters, eels, vivaparous blenny and many others might find themselves in the pots. Using the underwater camera you can also see what the bottom of the Kattegat looks like. The trip departs from Vesterø.
Nordre Rønner Trip
Nordre Rønner lies 9 km. north of Vesterø. The island was inhabited until the middel of the 60s. A local guide shows you around, and you get to go up the lighthouse where there is an outstanding view. The trip lasts 4 hours. Price incl. dinghy.
